Wendell Franklin oversees BOK Financial's safety and security initiatives. His responsibilities include developing corporate security strategies, managing emergency response, monitoring security systems and providing training and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. He also collaborates with local and federal law enforcement agencies, and partners closely with the Emergency Operations Center and Fraud Prevention and Detection.

Franklin came to BOK Financial from a 27-year career in law enforcement, most recently serving as chief of the Tulsa Police Department. He has a degree in criminal justice and corrections from Langston University and graduated from the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Senior Management Institute for Police, the FBI National Academy and the FBI National Executive Institute.

He serves on the board of the Tulsa Historical Society, and formerly was on the boards of the Boy Scouts of America and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Society.

Outside of the office, Wendell enjoys hiking, traveling, reading and exploring history.
