Gilbert Gerst leads the community development group and is responsible for compliance and CRA examinations as well as community development lending and investments for Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. He specializes in real estate financing for low-income housing tax credit projects by providing construction financing, permanent financing, and equity investments.

Gerst earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Texas and his master’s degree in real estate from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been involved with BOK Financial's executive diversity and inclusion council for more than three years.

Outside of the office, Gerst can be found camping and spending time outdoors.
