Reed Smith

Reed Smith leads the overall strategy, design, and implementation of health and welfare programs for the Employee Benefits division at BOK Financial Insurance. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, Smith adds value to his client relationships through analytics, underwriting, negotiations, budget stewardship, benchmarking, compliance, employee engagement, consumerism driven plan designs and health improvement strategies. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Colorado.

Since joining BOK Financial Insurance in 2010, Smith's commitment to innovation and leadership has earned him local and national recognition. He has been recognized as Employee Benefits Broker of the Year by BenefitsPro, one of the 25 Most Powerful Salespeople by ColoradoBIZ Magazine and one of the 25 Most Influential Young Professionals by ColoradoBIZ Magazine. Smith is an accomplished public speaker and has published various articles and blog posts providing thought leadership in the employee benefits industry. Prior to BOK Financial Insurance, Smith was a top sales executive with Great-West/Cigna Healthcare for nine years, where he focused on large, self-insured employers.

Away from the office, Smith serves on the Denver metro board for the American Cancer Society and is a community outreach board member with STRIDE Community Health Centers. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and two sons.
